My Art
My art is shaped by my faith in God.
I create works in which you can discover profound messages about freedom, human relationships, and the beauty of the world. Motifs such as feathers, birds, people, and the sea are recurring elements in my work.
My long stay in Brazil has made my art colorful and vibrant.
I wish for people to feel safe and set free when they look at my art. My goal is to create a place of refuge, peace, and reflection.
Inspiration and Painting Process
In my artistic process, I use various techniques and materials. Often, I don’t start with a finished painting in mind; my works result from an intuitive process that frequently arises in prayer. This inner sketch gives me the freedom to add colors and shapes, creating a unique narrative.
I describe my style as abstract realism, which combines elements of both worlds. My preferred method is acrylic painting, which I combine with texture pastes, collages, and other materials.
The fluidity and unpredictability of acrylic inks especially fascinate me and allow me to create the first layers of a painting. This leads to multi-layered and richly textured works. For some of my pieces, I also use pastel oil crayons and oil paints to make the colors appear even more intense.
